English Teacher Wanted Newbery English Academy – Ulsan, Korea Our academy is looking for an English teacher to join us from November or December 2026. We are a small, academically focused English academy working primarily with students from 1st to 6th grade of elementary school. Our students do not attend basic phonics or beginner-level classes. Instead, we mainly teach: * Authentic English original books * American curriculum textbooks * Reading comprehension & discussion * Vocabulary and writing * Critical thinking and higher-level English skills We are looking for a teacher who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to help strong English learners grow even further. We especially value teachers who can: * Deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons * Adapt lessons to students’ individual levels and needs * Encourage students to think, speak, read, and write in English * Challenge capable students and help them reach the next level * Create a positive and motivating classroom environment We are not looking for someone simply to “teach English.” We are looking for a teacher who wants to help already capable students become even better. Working Hours Monday – Friday Approximately 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Detailed schedule can be discussed.) Classes Most students are elementary school students, from Grade 1 to Grade 6. Classes focus mainly on original English books and American curriculum materials, rather than phonics or basic English. Start Date November or December 2026 Salary Negotiable depending on experience and teaching ability. We are happy to discuss compensation with teachers who can demonstrate strong classroom management, lesson planning skills, and the ability to teach higher-level elementary students effectively.
